Although I love the song by Luke Combs, the song by Twiddle holds a special place in my heart. Not only do I love the message that it sends, but it reminds me of happy times. I should point out that this song was introduced to me by my older sister Emmy. We even tried to meet up at a Twiddle concert last year in Charlottesville because this song meant so much to us, but our schedules didn’t work out. I love belting this song in the car to remind myself that everyone has bad days, but it is important to not let those misfortunes consume you.
Behind the Lyrics:
This song depicts the image of a person having a rough day and materializing their thoughts of “how can this get any worse” into a reality. This person stands for everyone going through a bad time and how easy it is to spiral and only focus on the negative in life. However, the chorus is a hopeful one, reminding the person that there is a rainbow at the end of the storm, and everything always works out. So, whenever I am having a bad day, I will play this song to remind me that “troubles do not stay they get replaced with good times.”
